Bungie is in the process of transfering all the Halo Reach matchmaking over to 343, which would be the last step in saying goodbye to the huge franchise they created. Bungie will be making a new game, which will no doubt be epic. Thanks for the Halo games and many great hours of fun, Bungie!
The one game I thought would be the first available for Games on Demand is here. Halo 3 can now be downloaded to your Xbox 360 for $29.99. The 6 GB download feature the 2007 conclusion to the triology and the multiplayer still played today. I don't think it includes the all of the maps, so this download may just be a novelty, but it's cool that it's available and could be discounted in the future:
