State of Decay continues to be a big hit, and today Microsoft and Undead Labs have announced that the game surpassed 500,000 players, becoming the fastest selling game on XBLA that is an original IP.
The announcement on Xbox.com also includes an interview with Undead Labs founder Jeff Strain, as he outlined the challenges of making the come and what additions will be coming down the line.
Since it's release on June 5th, PC fans have been asking for a release date, and while one isn't known yet, we now know that the game will be released on Steam when it does arrive.
Another neat announcement is that the game will be getting a sandbox survival mode, which will allow you to play the game without story factors as you attempt to survive the undead threat.
A big congratulations goes out to Undead Labs and Microsoft Studios for this achievement!
