Yesterday Bungie officially detailed their plans for Destiny, the upcoming multi-platform shooter that will be published by Activision. The title, which will across span 10 years of retail releases and Downloadable Content, tells the story of Earth and it's survivors after an attack that nearly ended civilization, and the mysterious sphere named the Traveler that hovers above the Earth after saving what was left of humanity.
Destiny will have an single player campaign, but it's main focus is to provide a platform for co-op gameplay. While the title will be based in a persistent online world, the game will not be an MMO and require players to pay a monthly subscription.
