Having played through and completed all of the console versions of the Assassin's Creed games, I knew what to expect from a certain degree with this new version, but have also been pleasantly surprised with the positive changes Ubisoft has made. The controls seem a little too simple to me, but I can understand why this was done – more people who can play your game better amounts to better sales and less frustration from new comers.
Something that I also immediately noticed were the game's visuals. There are noticeable improvements to the game based on the new Anvil engine that powers AC3, and it increases the NPC count and allows for better environments all around.
Combat is pretty fun and move are easy to execute, so anyone can feel like a powerful assassin. I'm currently on Sequence 4 of 12 in the game, so look for a review in the near future.
I'm really enjoying my time with the game so far, and will detail all the good and bad about it in my upcoming review!
