You know the drill soldiers: five maps, two from Modern Warfare, three brand new, for 1200 MSP. Double XP has been availble this week, but there are new maps out gain it on. Check out more details below:
"The best-selling Xbox 360 game of all time gets even bigger with more new content, first on Xbox LIVE! The Resurgence Pack delivers five epic multiplayer maps: “Carnival,” an abandoned amusement park with a variety of unique vantage points; “Fuel,” a massive oil refinery with extremely long sightlines; “Trailer Park,” a maze-like mobile estate surrounded by war-torn debris. Two legendary maps from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare return more detailed than ever, including “Strike,” a large urban center in the desert; and “Vacant,” a fast-paced Russian office complex with few places to take cover."

The second pack of new multiplayer maps from Modern Warfare 2 will arrive on Xbox LIVE first once again on June 3rd. Titled the "Resurgence Pack", the pack will feature new five maps. No price yet, but I would say expect 1200 MSP just like the Stimulus Package.
To celebrate the upcoming release, Infinity Ward will also have two Double XP weekends. The first Double XP will take place beginning Friday, May 28, and the second will follow on Friday, June 4.

This week I will be doing some more online gaming with Splinter Cell Conviction (Finally!), Halo 3: ODST and Modern Warfare 2. I got ODST once again to get ready for the Reach Beta and try my best to make some cool forge levels on Sandbox. Deniable Ops is pretty fun Splinter Cell, and I'm gonna try the Co-op out with a friend and see how it compares to the co-op from past Splinter Cell games. Last but not least is ranking up a little bit more in Modern Warfare 2.
I Hope everyone has a great weekend of fun and relaxing gaming!!
Despite the 1200 MSP price point, The First Modern Warfare 2 Map Pack was downloaded over 1 million times in the first 24 hours, and over 2.5 million for the first week of availability. Those are pretty big numbers just for the Xbox 360 and will likely increase later in the future when the map pack releases for the PlayStation 3 and PC.

Modern Warfare 2
Despite a rocky launch involving updates, playlist errors, and slow downloads, the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Map is now available for Xbox 360. Coming later for PlayStation 3 and PC, The Map Pack as you probably know brings 3 new maps to the table, and 2 greats from Call of Duty 4.
The 2 remakes: Crash and Overgrown, play almost identical to how they originally were, with the exception of new killstreaks and perks to used. Infinity Ward had to be careful when picking the maps since the new perks in Modern Warfare 2 could throw off the balance that they have established, but so far things seem great and it's fun to play on these maps again.
The three brand new ones: Storm, Bailout, and Salvage, all feel great and varied and fit right in with the fast paced action that MW2 brings. In the end, these maps are a great addition, but it's still pretty hard to swallow the $15 price point that the pack brings. This is a must buy for those that play Modern Warfare 2 with friends and for competition on a daily basis, but for others that can't get past the 1200 MSP price, wait until they reduce the price.
Our Cure for "Mapathy" is here with the Stimulus Map Pack. Is it worth $15?
"The best-selling Xbox 360 game of all-time just got bigger, with more epic multiplayer content, first on Xbox LIVE! The Stimulus Package delivers 5 additional action-packed multiplayer maps featuring a variety of locations: "Bailout," a multi-level apartment complex; "Storm," an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery; "Salvage," a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars. Two legendary fan-favorites from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare return, including "Crash," a war-torn urban environment; and "Overgrown," which features a massive dry creek bed."

Double XP,
Modern Warfare 2
April 2nd-5th to be exact. Starting a few days after the release of the Stimulus Map Pack, Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox 360 will give you double the experience on multiplayer in all playlists. This is only for the 360 as of right now, but Double XP usually comes to PS3 and PC so look out for that sometime later when the maps release for everyone.
Activision has just released some amazing figures for Modern Warfare 2 that detail the number of players who logged in online, and how many hours we have logged already:
-More than 5.2 million multiplayer hours were logged playing Call of
Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on the first day alone.
-More than 2.2 million unique gamers played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
2 in one day on November 10th. A new one-day record for Xbox LIVE.
-More than 11 million achievements were unlocked on Call of Duty: Modern
Warfare 2 on the first day.
Wow! Congrats to Infinity Ward and us as we all probably stayed up a bit late to achieve these figures!
