So far I'm about an hour into the game and it's seems to be slowly introducing you into the gameplay mechanics for the new battle system. The visuals are pretty impressive even though the Xbox 360 version is spread across three discs which have compressed cutscences. It's not that big of a deal unless you analyze the PS3 and 360 version side by side. The characters so far are pretty interesting and the story actually make some sense although I haven't been playing long enough to fully know what exactly is going on.
The combat system is pretty neat and although you only control one party member in battle, you still have to strategically plan your attacks that can coincide with your teammate's actions.
I hope to have a review in a timely manner, but from what I've heard about the length is that it will take 30+ hours to complete.

Every since E3 of 2008, there seemed to have been some understandable mystery around the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII. Could it pull off the visuals originally made for PS3 and still have the great RPG elements that is loved worldwide by the avid Final Fantasy fans? Well I'm not exactly sure yet, but the wait to find out is almost over as Final Fantasy XIII arrives beginning at Midnight tonight for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
While Japan will have the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XIII in December, everyone else won't have to wait much longer as the game will be released in March for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Right now for Xbox fans, if you tweet the following, you can win an Xbox Live gift for the game: "Retweet this message to help unlock an exclusive Xbox LIVE item for Final Fantasy XIII #FFXIIIXBOX http://xbox.com/ffxiii"
Put that in your tweet, and register on the Xbox website, and the gift will be unlocked in December. There is also an announcement trailer on the Dashboard, so check that out too!
The Above picture is a pretty awesome mock-up of Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox 360, but Square Enix is looking at three discs maximum for XIII. Let's see if they can do it because the Blu-Ray Demo of the PlayStation 3 version was about 5 Gigabytes, 2 gigs less than what the traditional Xbox 360 Discs can hold today.
