Today is a good day to be a gamer as Borderlands 2 and the Resident Evil 6 demo are now available. Featuring more guns, characters, and areas to explore, Borderlands 2 looks to suck the hours away. I'm getting my copy later today, so look for a review in the future from me!

I'm also excited about the Resident Evil 6 demo. In it, you'll be able to sample each campaign and play online with friends in the co-op mode. The full version of the game will be available on October 2nd.

Other notable releases this week include Torchlight II for PC, the servers launching which enable multiplayer capabilities for LittleBigPlanet Vita, and XBLA Wednesday with Jet Set Radio HD.

Gearbox has announced the release date for Borderlands 2 as well as revealing a new trailer. You'll be able to explore Pandora once again with friends on September 18th. Pre-ordering the game will give you access to the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club which allows you to download in-game items.

Borderlands is still one of my favorite games to play, and I'm really happy that the sequel is shaping up to be another great addition to this new franchise.

Gearbox Software created the awesome Borderlands in 2009, and coming sometime in 2012 will be the next game in the franchise, Borderlands 2. GameInformer will have more details on game in their next issue, so look out for that soon.

I can't wait for this, but I'm gonna miss the great cast of playable characters in the original game.
