Xbox One 1TB console announced alongside price drop for standard 500GB version, new console features an updated controller

Microsoft has announced this morning that there will be a permanent price drop for the standard Xbox One console, reducing the overall price to $349, effective immediately.
This news is followed by the announcement of a brand new 1TB version of the console coming June 16th, which will feature a new controller that includes a 3.5mm stereo jack, allowing for most gaming headsets to plug right into the controller without the need for an additional adapter.
The controller can also be purchased for separately for $79.95. The last bit of console news for Microsoft today is the announcement of the Xbox Wireless Adapter, which will retail for $24.99. This adapter will allow PC players to utilize a wireless Xbox One controller for machines running Windows 10.

Xbox One receiving holiday price cuts starting Nov. 2nd, Pick up the console for $349 for a limited time!

Microsoft has announced that beginning this Sunday, the Xbox One console, as well as the Assassin's Creed Unity and Sunset Overdrive bundle, will be available for purchase for $349 until January 3rd.
While those versions will not include the Kinect, those looking to pick up the advanced camera can grab either the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare or AC: Unity Kinect bundle for $449.
The $50 price cut is a primarily US based promotion, but there is a chance it may spread outside outside the country depending on the bundle.
With some heavy hitters arriving soon for Xbox One including Halo: The Master Chief collection and Sunset Overdrive, this is going to be a great time to pick up the console and save some money doing so in the process!
