One of best video apps for watching the latest shows is now available on Xbox One, as HBO has finally brought the HBO Go app to Microsoft's new console. As long you have a supported cable provider, you'll be able to access a vast library of shows, movies, and documentaries from HBO's past, present, and future content.
HBO is looking to offer a separate subscription to the service sometime next year, which wouldn't require users to have a cable provider in order to use the app.

HBO GO, alongside Comcast XFINITY TV, and MLB.TV, is now available on Xbox LIVE. The video apps currently require a subscription to their respected series, as well as a Gold membership to Xbox Live. I can't to watch Game of Thrones on my Xbox and the other great HBO shows available.

MLB.TV transforms sports entertainment by providing live and on demand games in HD, coupled with exclusive personalization features only found on Xbox 360 – jump between the action via the Mini Guide and watch two games at once with Split Screen. With Kinect, you can pause and rewind live games and highlights using just your voice and motion controls.

It's not an early April fools joke: The Official release of the HBO Go app for the 360 will be released on April 1st. The app allows you to watch almost every HBO movie and tv series, with new content being added regularly. It's not just new content either, as you can go back and watch shows like Oz, Six Feet Under, and many other classic HBO shows.
I can't wait to use it on the Xbox, and will probably do so for the Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire.
Look for it April 1st!
